Last week I had the oppurtunity to go to the shore for the week with my children and my mother-inlaw. We left last Sunday and stayed till Friday morning. I will say that it was an interesting week. Sunday night we were on the boardwalk and got a phone call saying that my husbands best friend was murdered. From that point on I didn't know what to do, do I stay for the week or do I pack up right now and head home to be with my husband? After a long and I mean long talk with my husband, we decided it would be best if I stayed and enjoyed my time with my family.
The weather was perfect, the crowds were few and the children were very well behaved. Going to the shore this time of year is great for the weather and for not dealing with the crowds but the downfall is that there is not a lot of things opened. But over all with everything else going on at home we had a nice time. Megan had a blast and Sam enjoyed the sand and riding in his stroller.
I will say that if our circumstances were different I think I would have enjoyed myself a lot more, but to be honest all I could think about was my husband and the hurt he was going through. I talked to him about twice a day and we left early so I could spend some time with him. It has been a long week and weekend but I am amazed at how God get's us through even on the tough days. He is are Comforter and our strength. All I know is that time heals all things. Over all we had a great time at the shore and here are some pictures to show for it.
