Broken Hallelujah

The title of this post is a song from Mandisa's new CD. It has become a song that I can't get enough of these days. I play it over and over again in the car, in my home and even when I am on the computer. The words have spoken to me so deeply.

Our church is doing a 21 day corporate fast and at first I thought to myself I don't want to be told to fast and why should I do this. But the Lord convicted me that there are things in my life that the Lord wants to break in my life. So I have been spending a lot of time on my knees before Him asking Him what He wants to reveal in my life that needs to be removed in order to Praise Him more.

I am learning that even in the midst of feeling lonely, tired, sad, and nothing left inside of you, He wants you to praise Him. Sometimes I feel like I don't have anything in me to even lift my hands to Him, and praise Him, I feel just like this song, like all I have is a broken hallelujah or a shattered praise. He accepts that and gives you the strength to make it through just about anything. When all that I can sing Is a broken hallelujah .
