One God, Two and a half Days!

This past weekend I was able to get away from my busy schedule and the life of being a mom and a wife and escape to Hershey, PA for a women's retreat with some of my favorite women in my life. These are the things I learned about this past weekend.

1. I never heard of Kim Walker, but apparently I should. I love her worship leading. I felt so close to heaven and I am in love with the songs "How He loves" and "Happy Day".

2. I learned that not all of the chocolate in Hershey is made in Hershey, PA but in Mexico. Not really fair in my book.

3. I have seen Liz Curtis Higgs books in the bookstore and have thought about purchasing many of her books but never did. Now that I have heard her speak and she is one funny lady, I am going to being her books.

4. I also realized that it is okay to not be a deep person all the time. I find life fun and love to make people laugh and I learned this past weekend that it is okay to find the humor in things.

5. I love the women that I went with and I am blessed beyond measures to have these women in my life. We stayed up till wee hours of the night talking and laughing.

6. And finally, I learned that Jesus loves me just the way I am. He accepts me just the way I am. And it is good to know because I don't need to find love in other people I have it in HIM!

Trick or Treat!

This year was a little different in the fact that Sam was able to walk around for himself and get his own candy. Megan insisted once again on being a super hero. So she went as Wonder Women and not just any Wonder Women, a pink Wonder Women. And Sam went as the cutest little Superman I have ever seen.

We stopped at my Nana's house and Uncle Bobo's. Then we headed over to my brother in law's and girlfriends house for dinner and then a walk around there street. It was a cold halloween but we had a blast.

I am also homeroom mom for Megan's class this year. I got to plan her first party. It was a lot of fun being a part of her class and seeing her in that setting.
